3 DAY RWANDA GORILLAS IN THE Fog TOUR
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE TOUR – RWANDA
Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda, the starting point of the 3-day Rwanda Gorillas in the fog tour. Your driver/guide and our tour agent will meet you at Kigali International Airport.
We would like to extend our warmest greetings and provide you with a detailed briefing before we depart for the two-hour trip to Volcanoes National Park in the north of Rwanda. You’ll understand why Rwanda is nicknamed as The Land of a Thousand Hills after taking this breathtaking trip.
You will go via Musanze and arrive at your resort with breathtaking views of the Peaks of Volcanoes National Park if the weather is good.
After lunch, have some time to unwind and revitalize in your lodge’s grounds before our afternoon journey to Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, where You can study about and take part in pre-colonial Rwandan life. Return to your hotel after that to enjoy the facilities and surroundings before tomorrow’s challenging walk.
DAY 2: A RARE MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK – RWANDA
You have a unique and extraordinary opportunity today to trek and interact closely with a mountain gorilla. Only 1063 of these magnificent creatures are still alive, and the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda is home to around a third of them.
One of the greatest in-person animal encounters ever is thought to have taken place here.
You will be taken to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters after breakfast, where you will be divided into groups based on fitness levels and given information about the excursion and gorilla behavior.
Start your search for the mountain gorillas next. The opportunity to monitor gorillas is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The rangers will lead you deep into the bush in search of the gorillas. Once you find them, you can amuse yourself watching them as you climb and descend the steep terrain in search of them for about an hour.
The activity in Rwanda can last anywhere between three and five hours because to the gorillas’ up-and-down movement. It’s an amazing and exciting time right now. Along the route, there is a chance that travelers would run into other primates, such as monkeys and various bird species.
Discuss your incredible journey with your fellow visitors as you make your way back to the resort.
Dinner and one night at your preferred Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.
DAY 3: TRANSFER AFTER THE GOLDEN MONKEY TREK TO KIGALI FOR A CITY TOUR.
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart at 7am for the Golden Monkey Trek. More than any other country in Africa, Rwanda has better access to sizable, habituated populations of golden monkeys. Golden macaques are incredibly uncommon.
The travel is often easier than the trek with gorillas, and these strange, humorous, and beautiful animals will keep you engaged for approximately an hour.
After the hike, return to your lodging for a quick lunch and check-out. Our next stop will be Kigali, where we’ll visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial and shop for gifts at the local markets because your flight home won’t be arriving until the evening.
Genocide Memorial This difficult, emotional, and educational tour leads to the somber Kigali Genocide Memorial. You’ll learn about the causes, tragedies, and it will ultimately promote reconciliation that will be unmatched in its accomplishments and the aftereffects of the slaughter.
Following the three-day Rwanda Gorillas in the Mist tour, we go to Kimironko, one of the biggest local marketplaces, where you can purchase fantastic photos and souvenirs to take home. After the activity, we’ll drive you to the airport for your return trip.
