BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda is a bio-diverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. Its home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves, and fruits from the park are many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families. In the park, rough paths weave amid dense forests, which are home to many butterflies and birds.
In this 4 day tour, you will have a valuable experience on the checklist to tick off through your primate trek with Mountain Gorillas, it will leave you with a long-lasting memory of Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, Uganda.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL
Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by Silverback Luxury Tours knowledgeable representative who will brief you about your itinerary and our beautiful Countries and proceed to your hotel in Kigali, refresh, and relax with the hotel facilities.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ubumwe Grande Hotel (4 Star Hotel)
DAY 2: KIGALI CITY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA.
After breakfast, you will meet with your driver-guide at the reception for a short briefing before driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Uganda.
Later you will proceed for a short Kigali City Tour Experience which will include a visit to the Gisozi genocide memorial site then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park (4.5 hours) en-route lunch at muhabura hotel famous for good snacks and you get a chance to visit a room where Dian Fossey used to have her nights and called it her second home when she was away from the forest during the gorilla habituation experience today you will get some brief background of Dr. Dian Fossey and her lifetime in Rwanda with Gorillas.
Later continue your drive via Cyanika border, the road is good to the border and part of Uganda after crossing the road is good and later you will drive to a dusty road and a bit bumpy to Chameleon Hill Lodge.
You will check in to Chameleon Hill lodge located on the hillside of beautiful Lake Mutanda with overwhelming views of the lake and Volcanoes of Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo. Upon arrival at the lodge, you’re chilled with a glass of fresh soft juice on their terrace overseeing the beautiful lake views.

DAY 3: RARE MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK
After early breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and meet your driver-guide at the reception to take you to the park headquarters for briefing and meet with excellent and well informed local guides and will keep in touch with the advance group (trackers) the guides will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla tracking based on their experience with gorillas.
We then hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before from that point with the communication of the advance group. The trek can take from 2 to 6 hours. The terrain is rough and at times muddy although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest surrounding scenery makes the trekking worthy.
Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world.
Remember to hire a porter to help you currying your backpack and can give you a hand during hiking where possible. Have your packed lunch along the way and after your trek, return to the lodge for refreshment and relax.

DAY4: TRANSFER TO KIGALI FOR YOUR DEPARTURE
This morning after breakfast you will check out from your lodge, proceed back to Rwanda (Kigali) via Cyanika border 4.5 hours’ drive. Arrival in Kigali, you will have your lunch at Hotel de Mille Collins Rwanda or Chez Robert for an African food test.
Depending on your outbound flight time we can take you straight to the airport. Or if early we can assist you with souvenir and craft shopping, recommend and take you to the best restaurants in Kigali to have dinner before transferring you to Kigali airport for your flight back home.
