4 DAY RWANDA GORILLA TREK AND GOLDEN MONKEY TOUR
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL
Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our knowledgeable representative who will brief you about your itinerary for the 4 day Rwanda Gorilla trek and golden monkey tour and our beautiful Country. Later after proceed to your hotel in Kigali, a fresh up and relax with the hotel facilities.

DAY 2: KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Today after your breakfast we shall proceed to the Kigali Genocide Memorial at 9am before transferring you to Volcanoes National Park.
Kigali Genocide Memorial
This is an extremely moving, challenging, educational and ultimately inspiring memorial and great place to understand the cause, tragedy and successful rebuilding post genocide.
The reconciliation and rebuilding has been miraculous and these memorials are built to inform, educate and prevent such a tragedy to ever occur again.
The tour is very transparent and educational but very somber and humbling when you realize that over 250,000 deceased are buried on the site of the memorial. Guaranteed you will feel every emotion during this visit.
The most common question that goes through your mind is “would I be capable of that level of forgiveness if I found myself in this situation”. That’s true inspiration.
After the memorial visit you will head for your lunch in one of the best restrourant in Kigali.
Later you begin the scenic 2.5-hour transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. En route there will be some opportunities for some scenic photos and your driver guide will brief you on your tour plans.
You will arrive at your accommodation and you will be assisted with check in,
Dinner and overnight at MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE.
DAY 3: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK IN THE VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for your Gorilla tracking experience.
After completing the park customs, we embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 1063 living today.
You will get within meters of the family, and be privileged to spend an hour amongst them. A visit with a mountain gorilla family is a life changing experience. Mountain gorillas are highly intelligent, good natured, and fascinating to observe. The silverback’s powerful presence is awe-inspiring, yet his calm clearly earns him the title, “gentle giant”.
People are equally struck by the tenderness and care that mothers show their young. And then, of course, there are the juveniles who spend most of every waking hour at play and never cease to make visitors smile.
After the trek we return to your accommodation to freshen up, lunch and later drive for a scenic transfer for Twin Lakes ( Burera and Ruhondo)
Dinner and overnight at MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE.
DAY 4: GOLDEN MONKEY TREK AND TRANSFER TO KIGALI FOR YOUR DEPARTURE.
This morning we take an early breakfast and leave the lodge around 7:00am to be at the park headquarters for a briefing on today’s trek.
Often call the little primates, Golden Monkeys are an endangered species but are thriving here in Volcanoes National Park. There’s nowhere better in the world to trek and watch these unique and playful primates. After a briefing from the park rangers we set off. Usually the trek is an easier one than the Mountain Gorillas but these are wild animals that move around so the trek can be 30 minutes to several hours depending on their movements. Once located you will spend a wonderful hour watching them watch you and interact with each other.
After the trek we return to your accommodation to a freshen up, have your lunch and Prepare for your afternoon transfer back to Kigali.
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel day room for relaxation. Later in the evening depending on your flight, you will have dinner together with African unique safaris representative in Kigali before we transfer you to Kigali International Airport.
